About Us:

Curate is a high growth technology startup located in downtown Madison. We were founded in May of 2016 by a PhD candidate in Computer Science out of UW Madison and an MBA from UW Whitewater. Curate’s software scans through public meeting agendas and minutes from cities, counties, and school board websites and sends our customers weekly reports of leads and business intelligence. Curate's customers utilize this information to grow their businesses.

Curate offers a fun and flexible work environment. We believe in working hard and having fun together. We have an office dog, a great location downtown, and plenty of opportunities to work in many different areas of the business if you are interested. Our ideal candidate has an interest in entrepreneurship, sales, and/or business (but not required). We are more than willing to train for the right candidate.

What we’ll do for you:

We are looking for people who want to expand their skills and work with a fast-paced talented group of forward thinkers. You’ll have a front row seat to a fast-growing venture funded startup company.

What you’ll do:

As the Sales Intern at Curate, you’ll work directly with the sales team and lead the charge in researching potential clients, entering information accurately in our software, and carefully tracking key performance indicators for the team.

Your qualifications:

You must be comfortable quickly learning and adapting to new software. You also have a keen attention to detail, and understand the balance between speed and accuracy. In addition, you have excellent written communication skills as we frequently work remotely and communicate through writing. You don’t need any experience in software as we’ll train you to be an expert in this field. Technical skills are important, but we value a cultural fit above all else. Participating in a program to earn a degree in communications, journalism, English, business, or entrepreneurship is ideal but all majors are encouraged to apply.
